Just like that, August is here! For us, like many other businesses, 2020 has required us to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment. Being part of a community of incredible, passionate people has made everything possible. This includes our brilliant team and loyal customers, as well as our artisan producers and local farmers. Our Darts Farm family is stronger than ever!

We are so proud of our whole team. In difficult circumstances they have pulled together not only to keep the show on the road, but to achieve some incredible things. It’s been an inspiration to see individuals thrive in situations that they have never found themselves in before.

You, our customers, old and new, have been brilliant too. As we have adapted our business to the 'new normal', you have been by our side and we must thank you for being so understanding and helpful.

On the farm, Jack and the team have been keeping very busy. Our summer crops are flourishing and we are busy handpicking tenderstem broccoli, beetroot, spinach, tomatoes, lettuce, broad beans, chard, spring onions, courgettes, cauliflowers, romanesque, cucumbers, chillies, melons, sweetcorn and much more fresh from our fields each morning.

Our ‘pick-your-own sunflowers’ are now fully grown and it’s great to see families wandering through a sea of golden petals, discovering and picking their perfect stem. Over the past 10 years our pick-your-own sunflowers have raised a total of £26,978.75 for Hospiscare; a charity that offers free support and expert care for those with a terminal diagnosis in the local Devon community and provides a vital source of support for their families at times of real need.

Our ‘Amazing Maize Maze’ is also now ready to conquer, and this year all proceeds are going to Estuary League of Friends; a brilliant local charity who look after the elderly and vulnerable in our community. They care for those in need of comfort and support.

Both charities are a huge part of our local community and close to so many of our hearts. We can’t wait to see what we are able to raise for them this year!
