Hot Cross Bun Bread & Butter Pudding

Sweet, spiced and sticky, this is the ultimate pudding for Easter Sunday!

Ingredients

  • 6 Hot Cross Buns (we love Ryder's Bakery or Vicky's Bread!)
  • 25g Butter
  • 75g Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Large Black Dog Free-Range Eggs
  • 250ml Sutton Lucy Milk
  • 1tbsp Caster Sugar

Method

  1. Heat the oven to gas 3, 170°C, fan 150°C.
  2. Cut the hot cross buns in half and butter the cut sides, sprinkle with half of the chocolate chips, sandwich together again and place in a baking dish.
  3. Beat the eggs, milk and sugar together and pour over. Scatter with the remaining chocolate chips and bake for 30-35 mins until just set.
