Charred Darts Farm Leeks

Perfect for summer barbecues. Charring our leeks will leave the insides soft, silky & delightfully sweet!

Ingredients

A bundle of Darts Farm Leeks 

Honest Toil Olive Oil 

Sea Salt & Pepper 

A Squeeze of Lemon 

Method

  1. Preheat your grill to its highest setting. Set a baking tray under it to heat up.
  2. Give your leeks a good wash – make sure you get all the grit that might have snuck down into the layers.
  3. Arrange your leeks on the heated tray in a single layer. Let them really char on the tops with a few crisp black bits on the outside. It’ll take 10-15 mins, or a little longer if your leeks are quite chunky.
  4. Pile onto a serving platter. Gloss with olive oil. Dust with salt and pepper.
  5. To eat: Just strip off any blacked bits and inside you’ve got the most tender leeks ever!
