We’re proud to work with Devon pig farmers Tom Lockwood (pictured) of Lashbrook Farm in Talaton and Andrew Freemantle of Kenniford Farm in Clyst St Mary.
Both share our high standards to bring beautiful, quality pork to the Darts Farm butchery.
Tom says: 'Buying British pork means higher welfare and we have the highest animal welfare standards of anywhere in the world.
'That means the pigs have a clean run and plenty of space to eat, drink, lie down and root around. Our pigs are also finished on straw (a traditional method of finishing pigs).
'It's important to me who I sell the pork to, so I can be sure it's treated well after all the care that's gone into rearing the pigs. Philip, Alastair and the Darts Farm butchery team do a great job of making the link between the farmer, the butcher and the customer and it's nice to see your stock sold locally and to get feedback from people who have bought the pork and enjoyed it.'
