We're on the Road

This year’s Exeter Food Festival was packed with Darts Farm Specials as we were joined by producers and friends to celebrate all things local food and drink!

In the weeks leading up to this weekend, we held a competition for customers to be in with the chance to go to Exeter Food Festival for a Darts Farm VIP experience! Michelle Hauge was our lucky winner so got to enjoy a breakfast in the tipi with a friend as well as having exclusive access to the VIP lounge, complimentary drinks, afternoon tea and a mini spa treatment. They got to watch Michael Caines in the cookery theatre, front row, admiring and tasting his exceptional culinary skills. It was a joy to have them around and we are excited for our next competition winners!

From pasty making and sourdough creating to charcuterie skills and cocktail shaking, we ran an array of masterclasses to suit everybody.
The weekend started with our very own Master Butchers and the lovely Ruth’s Real Food as they let us in on the secrets behind their hearty homemade ready meals.

Chunk of Devon and Vicky’s Bread also supplied some messy fun for everyone as we made tasty pasties and sourdough loaves.

It was great to see our producers coming together to create fantastic, locally sourced foods! Quicke’s, Otter Vale and Sharpham Vineyard hosted the fantastic cheese and chutney masterclass showing how their delicious products work well together.

There was apple pressing all weekend in one of our tipis with Sandford Orchard and to finish the day, Salcombe Gin held a cocktail masterclass displaying how to add the perfect ingredients to your favourite gin.

There was certainly something for everyone, and in honour of our 25 years of Darts Farm, we held a Celebratory Pub Quiz to end our second day which saw a fab team win a huge hamper filled with our amazing local producers’ treats!

We had an amazing weekend celebrating all things local and thank you to everyone that supported us this year!
