Dietry Information

Ingredients

  • Pork Spare Ribs, sold as a rack
  • 2 Star anise
  • 6 Whole black peppercorns

Method

Striaght Up Ribs...

  1. For fall-of-the-bone ribs, take a large saucepan and fill with water, add the star anise and peppercorns, top with a lid and bring to the boil.
  2. Add rack of Pork Ribs and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove Ribs from pan and discard the water.
  4. Allow to cool slightly and cook on pre-heated BBQ.

Or go sticky...

  1. Make a sticky rib sauce with 2 tbsp of plum sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce, mixed together in a large bowl.
  2. Thoroughly roll the pre-cooked ribs in the sauce until covered. Place on pre-heated BBQ and cook slowly or on a low heat until the glaze is sticky and golden.
